1000 ždralova / 1000 Cranes

.

Japanese people believe that cranes bring luck to people. It is said that one who makes one thousand cranes will have a whish come true. When I first learned about thousand cranes, I thought how wonderful this story is. This is one (silly) picture of me and my first (and only ones) thousand cranes that I made few years ago as a gift to a very special person. As for the wish - it works! ;)
Cranes are very easy to make. I was an origami beginner when I made my first crane. That meands that you only need to have a desire and lots of patience to make a thousand cranes. Patience is one of the main things that you can develop by practicing origami. Dyagrams with instructions on how to make a crane are easily ofund on the internet, more so because crane is a traditional origami model. You can also discover many pictures of cranes, made in different colours and design.
