This decoration is made using Modular Stars by Victoria Babinsky. These stars can be put atop one another like a tower. At her web site, author suggests an assembly of three stars. I have made five because I wanted the model to be higher. I think that the result is absolutely fabulous!

These models from Decoration Box System can be found in the book "Modular Origami Polyhedra" by Lewis Simon, Bennet Arnstein and Rona Gurkewitz. Here are just some of the variations. Each and every model is highly decorative. It is up to your imagination to choose combinations of colours for the models, and no matter what you decide upon, you will always be delighted with the outcome.

1000 ždralova / 1000 Cranes
.
.
Japanese people believe that cranes bring luck to people. It is said that one who makes one thousand cranes will have a whish come true. When I first learned about thousand cranes, I thought how wonderful this story is. This is one (silly) picture of me and my first (and only ones) thousand cranes that I made few years ago as a gift to a very special person. As for the wish - it works! ;)
Cranes are very easy to make. I was an origami beginner when I made my first crane. That meands that you only need to have a desire and lots of patience to make a thousand cranes. Patience is one of the main things that you can develop by practicing origami. Dyagrams with instructions on how to make a crane are easily ofund on the internet, more so because crane is a traditional origami model. You can also discover many pictures of cranes, made in different colours and design.
